More than a hotel.
Fishermen from all over Schleswig-Holstein were educated in our hotel building until 1990. Than „Brücke Rendsburg-Eckernförde e. V.“ acquired the property. In 1999 the organization converted the former fishing school into a hotel. Here qualified employees with or without disabilities are working together in different service-teams. Nearly half of the disabled employees are severely disabled. The hotel Alte Fischereischule is opererated by „Start GmbH“, a subsidiary of „Brücke Rendsburg-Eckernförde e.V.“. Our service staff is supported by employees of our“ Brücke Werkstatt for disabled people“. Furthermore new personal and professional perspectives can be realized in our hotel by the help of „Arbeits-und Beschäftigungsprojekt der Eingliederungshilfe“( Work and employment project of integration assistance). The employees are professionally guided in the areas of kitchen/housekeeping, service, house and garden as well as hotel management.The work of all service-teams in the hotel Alte Fischereischule is directed to offer our guests a very pleasant stay in our house.
